Dear Dick,

The Miami Beach Rod & Reel Club wishes to thank you for hosting its anniversary outing, "Sunset Over Stiltsville", at your lovely Stiltsville house last Saturday. The setting was elegant and the camaraderie was unparalleled.

As you know, Stiltsville has always been a special place to our members, both as a place to fish and as a place to relax and to enjoy one another's company.

The club, which was organized in 1929, had its first official outing at Stiltsville in August, 1938. At that time Stiltsville consisted of the Calvert Club and several other houses which were built on stilts and barges.

It is fitting that 61 years later, at the beginning of a new millennium, we have a comparable outing.

Perhaps a similar outing can be organized for August, 2038, 100 years from the first outing.

To supplement the Stiltsville scrap book, we enclose copies of photographs of the August, 1938 outing and last Saturday's outing.
