Stiltsville Optimist Club's Scout's Day 2000 Schedule, Saturdays Feb 12, May 13, Jul 29 & Oct 14, 2000
The Stiltsville Optimist Club of Miami sponsored and hosted various Boy and Girl Scouts Troops and Boys and Girls Club of Miami. They got to spend a day at Stiltsville earning their fishing and swimming badges or just exploring the waters of Biscayne Bay.  Then they were treated to a Stiltsville Burgers and Hot Dogs.  

Ft. Lauderdale Air & Sea Show, May 6-7, 2000
The Miami Springs Power Boat Club was out in full force gathering signatures and selling T-shirts during the weekend at the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Air & Sea Show.  

Stiltsville on National TV on December 24, 1999 at 8:00pm and 11:00pm (EST) and on December 25 at 10:00am and 3:00pm (EST) Miami and Stiltsville will be featured in Christmas Across America 1999 on Home and Gardens Cable Channel (HGTV)  hosted by Willard Scott.  The 3 hour cross-country tour showcases regional diversity in holiday celebration in 32 cities set to holiday music. Miami and Stiltsville will lead the 3rd hour of the show.

Stiltsville Lights Up Biscayne Bay for Christmas, Sunday, December 19, 1999, at 5:30pm (EST) As a gesture of gratitude for all the support in saving Stiltsville, all seven houses will be lit with Christmas lights, of course, Stiltsville style.

U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen   hosted a Press Conference a on Monday, June 21, at Stiltsville to announced the 5 month stay granted by the National Park Service.

Stiltsville Optimist Club's "Hopefully Not The Last" Scout Day, Saturday, June 19, 1999
The Stiltsville Optimist Club of Miami sponsored and host over a hundred and fifty Boy and Girl Scouts and members of various Boys and Girls Club of Miami. Though it rained part of the day, it did not stop the scouts from having a great time and earning their fishing and swimming badges. Stiltsville, scouting and kids go back over thirty years. We hope this annual event continues...We are "optimist."

Ft. Lauderdale Air & Sea Show, May 1-2, 1999
Over 100 Stiltsville supporters gathered more than 9,000 signatures during the weekend at the Ft. Lauderdale Air & Sea Show. Airplanes flew over the beach with banners saying "Save Old Stiltsville."

Save Old Stiltsville Boat Rally & Press Conference, Saturday, April 17, 1999
U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and noted Florida historian Arva Moore Parks, Paul George and Becky Matkov hosted a press conference at Stiltsville to launch their fight to save the Stiltsville district from its pending destruction. These leaders asked for the extension of the existing leases by the National Park Service and reconsideration of the Stiltsville district for placement on the National Register of Historic Places. This press conference was covered by local and national media. CNN covered the story and aired a segment on April 19.
